How Will Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno's Absence Effect Georgia?

After beating Michigan State in the Capital One Bowl Georgia comes home upset to find out their two best offensive players have decided to enter the NFL draft.

Both quarterback Matthew Stafford and running back Knowshon Moreno have announced they will enter the NFL draft. Matthew Stafford is predicted to be drafted number one over all in the first round by the Detroit Lions.

It was between Sam Bradford and Matthew Stafford but Sam Bradford has decided to stay at Oklahoma. It depends on what mock draft you look at but there has been three I have looked at and they all say that Knowshon Moreno will be drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the late first round.

Now that Georgia has lost there two star players the question is who will replace them? Now I am not quite familiar with Georgia is thinking about replacing Matthew Stafford with so if you comment on this article. I also do not know who is predicted to replace Knowshon Moreno at running back.

But the things Georgia needs to focus on if they want to remain a top team even without there star players is getting a strong offensive to protect the first year starter that will start next year. The offensive line for Georgia will also need to open holes for the running back that will replace Knowshon Moreno.

Another thing Georgia needs is a pro style quarterback just like Matthew Stafford. One that can scramble out of the pocket but still make accurate passes. The quarterback will also have to be able to throw under pressure. These are the traits Matthew Stafford had and now he is going first round as a junior.

The main thing they need is a running back that can juke and break tackles like Reggie Bush or Chris Wells. Because of most of you already know Mark Richt prefers small speedy running backs over big stocky running backs like Glen Coffee from Alabama. The running back will have to be aggressive and find the holes quick due to this growing offensive line Georgia has.

Now in the preseason poll for next year according to Georgia is number eighteen in the preseason. The only reason they are that low is because there two star players left for the NFL draft.

Now I will go ahead and tell you Georgia will lose games this year but in the future they are going to be hard team to beat with players like A.J. Green playing and starting as a freshman.

One last thing is that Georgia needs a good recruiting class and right now they got the number seven recruiting class in the nation. So Georgia will have a bumpy road because they lost there two star players but they will have a strong team.
