Internet Reacts to Clippers' Attempts to Win Back DeAndre Jordan from Dallas
In a last-gasp effort to woo DeAndre Jordan back into their tepid arms, the Los Angeles Clippers appear to be initiating one last all-or-nothing pitch-krieg.
It's a shocking development, honestly. Just days ago, Jordan's intentions to join the Dallas Mavericks on a four-year, $80 million deal seemed all but carved in granite—further cemented by rumors about a growing rift between the center and All-Star point guard Chris Paul.
This could very well be the case, but multiple reports surfaced Wednesday afternoon claiming the Clippers intend to make one final push in the hopes of changing Jordan's mind.
ESPN's Marc Stein reported that Paul will be in the room when Doc Rivers and team officials meet with Jordan in Houston on Wednesday to make their presentation:

Do you know what this means?
Paul is ending his vacation with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade to make nice with his longtime lob partner. Even more crucial, he's leaving behind the banana boat.
The banana boat.
Of course, the Clippers' rom-com run through the free-agency airport has entertained the Internet greatly. Mavericks and Clippers fans alike are waiting with bated breath to see if Doc Rivers catches DeAndre at the gate:

Ah, I love sappy endings where the coach gets the rim-protector.
Dan is on Twitter. He can hear Doc's boombox from here.
