With rumors circulating about Chris Paul being traded before the start of the season, the Clippers, according to ESPN, have made an offer for CP3. The offer does not include Deandre Jordan or Eric Gordon, but will most likely offer players such as Eric Bledsoe, Al Farouq Aminu, Minnesota's 1st rounder and a couple future 1st round picks.

If a trade like this went through, it would make the Clippers instant contenders in the West. Their roster could look like this:

PG-Chris Paul, Mo Williams

SG-Eric Gordon, Randy Foye

SF-Caron Butler, Ryan Gomes

PF-Blake Griffin Craig Smith

C-Deandre Jordan Chris Kaman

Can anyone honestly tell me this isn't a playoff caliber roster?

However, would it be good enough to compete in the West? I think it would be, if they can gain experience fast. If Neil Olshey could pull this deal off, he would go down as the best GM in Clippers history.

In the offseason, the Clips could sign a player like Dwight Howard, which would create a dream team. To add Dwight to that roster, the Clippers would have the best starting lineup in the NBA. This may seem unlikely, but it is very possible.

It is unbelievable how the mood in LA has changed so quickly.

Now it is up to the Clippers to grow and become one of the best teams in the league. I can't wait to see what Olshey does. GO CLIPPERS!
