Minnesota Timberwolves' Kevin Love Lists Most Physical Low-Post Players in NBA

1 of 4

I recently had the opportunity to talk to Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love. Love took part in the Manhattan Beach Open on Thursday afternoon, which is part of the Jose Cuervo Beach Volleyball Series.

While I had the opportunity to talk to Love about his participation in the volleyball tournament, I was also able to talk to him about one of the things near and dear to both of our hearts: Basketball.

Love is certainly no stranger to physical battles with opposing post players. But who did the All-Star forward name as the most physical low-post players?

Chuck Hayes

While Chuck Hayes may not necessarily be a household name amongst NBA fans, he is one of the more underrated defenders in the league. And he is one of the more physical players to tangle with in the low post, according to Love.

“Chuck Hayes is a very strong player who will lay the wood on you, despite not being very tall,” he said.

Andrew Bynum, Blake Griffin and Dwight Howard, Oh My

Kevin Love also mentioned Andrew Bynum, Dwight Howard and Blake Griffin as being some of the more physical players in the paint.

“Andrew Bynum will hit you with an elbow,” said Love. “Dwight Howard and Blake Grifin are also very physical opponents.”

Kevin Garnett

Basketball fans are fully aware of Kevin Garnett’s tough, intimidating play on the basketball court. Kevin Love has experienced it up close and personally for the last three seasons.

“While he may not be the most physical player, Kevin Garnett is the most tough to play against,” said Love.
