NBA Trade Rumors: Which 3 Players Are Most Likely to Move This Season?
Right now it looks like there is a strong possibility that we may not see an NBA season next year. Both sides are holding firm and it doesn't look like an agreement will be reached for a CBA this season.
We can all hope though that a CBA will be reached and we will get to see at least a little basketball this year. Even with the current lockout and teams unable to talk with players and vice versa, the trade talk is still just as loud as ever.
A lot of players could change teams this year. Which players are most likely to change teams though? Probably these three players.
Dwight Howard
1 of 3More rumors have been swirling around Dwight Howard than anyone else. After Howard said he would opt out of his contract in 2012 and test free agency every team seems to want a piece of the superstar center.
I think Otis Smith will be able to pull off a near miracle and land a player that makes Howard stay in Orlando. However Dwight Howard could easily switch teams.
Josh Smith
2 of 3Since Atlanta signed Al Horford and Joe Johnson to big contracts, they plan to either move Josh Smith or Marvin Williams.
Josh Smith has been the player team's are interested in. There have been a lot of rumors circling Smith. Most have him moving to Orlando to join Dwight Howard. However, there have been rumors that he might go to Golden State as well as other teams.
There is no way Atlanta will get equal value for Smith, but he will probably be playing for another team next season.
Monta Ellis
3 of 3Monta Ellis had a fantastic season last year averaging 24.1 points, 5.6 assists and 2.1 steals. But since the offseason started he has been the player that has been shopped the most.
It seemed like a swap between the 76ers and the Warriors was going to happen, sending Ellis to Philly for Andre Iguodala. Golden State also had an official trade offer for Dwight Howard that included Ellis as well.
It's unknown where Ellis will play next season but it's unlikely he will play a full season with Golden State.
