Vucevic Dealing With Sprained Back

The team announced the 24-year-old center has a back sprain and will miss the game:

Head coach Jacque Vaughn allayed any fears that the sprain foreshadows a potentially more serious issue, per Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel:

Entering Friday, Vucevic is first on the team in both points (18.6) and rebounds (11.7). Few fans expect big things from Orlando this year, but the Magic are just three games out of the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. Vucevic is a big reason for Orlando's somewhat strong start, relatively speaking.

He'll be a big absence in the team's frontcourt.
