Dwight Howard Shows Commitment to LA Lakers in New Adidas Commercial
In Adidas' latest commercial, we find Howard jovially meeting with the team's fans. In the clips provided, he is seen smiling from ear to ear, completely decked out in Lakers gear.
While some may claim this means nothing, Howard is clearly learning how to navigate his current market while experiencing a touch of the benefits that come with being a Laker.
The fact the campaign ends with an "all in for L.A." caption in the middle of the screen is also encouraging.
Does it mean that he's signing an extension tomorrow?
Of course not (legally, he can't), but this isn't a Howard with both or even one of his feet outside the Staples Center already.
He's trying to make it work, and as his back and shoulder continue to heal, it has worked. Los Angeles has won 11 of 16, and Howard has scored 15 or more points in six of his last seven games.
Without reading too much into his cameo here, let's just understand that Howard is a committed member of the Lakers.
His melancholy demeanor has been blown out of proportion in the most extravagant of environments.
He (probably) doesn't have any needle-stricken voodoo dolls of Kobe Bryant in his locker.
And he is "all in" with the Lakers.
