Vince Carter discovered a wonderful way to defeat even the most rigid of defenses: acting like he just lost one of his legs.
A tip of the hat to SportsGrid for spotting this wonderful moment when gamesmanship meandered over the line and well into the realm of "are you freaking kidding me?"
The play comes in the waning moments of the first half, with the Warriors up 55-51. Karma being the great equalizer, the Warriors would go on to secure the win 100-97.
So, it seems that this added touch of tomfoolery was rendered useless. But it's still annoying to see.
Of course, we will give Vinsanity his day in the court of public opinion and say that he could have indeed been hurt when he hobbles to the side of the court like his leg was blown clear off his body.
Still, he looks to be rather healthy when he receives a pass down low and dunks all over the Warriors defense as if to say, "Gotcha, suckas!"
Maybe I'm just jaded and have seen far too many shenanigans like this pulled. Perhaps it's because the act comes from Vince Carter, a man who plays with the consistency of a Dwight Howard trip to the free-throw line.
So, if you happen to see Carter on the street and he trips and falls, you cover him with the most passionate defense you can muster, because he is planning to score on you.
Not that it will matter in the end.
