There are several reports surfacing that Pau Gasol of the Los Angeles Lakers will soon be traded, likely to the Houston Rockets. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

"Houston has continued to aggressively probe the Lakers on a potential Pau Gasol trade, but there's no deal close, league sources tell Y!"

He tweeted earlier today.

The deal has also been reported be Roland Lazenby, an LA based reporter/writer. He tweeted:

"It seems we'll soon be getting news that Gasol has been traded. No details confirmed, but he's apparently gone. Both have been confirmed as merely rumors at this point, but it’s looking like a deal may be approaching as the trade deadline grows closer."

Before the season started, the teams were both involved in a three way team trade where the Lakers would acquire Chris Paul and Pau Gasol would have gone to the Houston Rockets. The New Orleans Hornets would have acquired Kevin Martin, Luis Scola, Lamar Odom, Goran Dragic and a first round draft pick, according to ESPN.

Again, at this point these are just rumors, but it is looking like a deal may be getting close. The Lakers are playing the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minnesota tonight.
