LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the 5 Best Players from Opening Day
Opening day in the NBA featured the who's who of the league.
Many stars set out to get their respective teams off to a good start. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Chris Paul and Dwight Howard were all in action on Christmas Day, but only five players make this list.
Here are the five best players from opening day in the NBA.
No. 5 Derrick Rose
1 of 5Derrick Rose proved why he is one of the best players in the league.
To steal the season opener on the Black Mamba's home floor was ridiculous.
Rose's clutch layup over Derek Fisher and Pau Gasol helped his Chicago Bulls complete a great comeback on the Los Angeles Lakers to start the season with a victory.
No. 4 Dwyane Wade
2 of 5D-Wade was as fresh as ever and delivered another dynamic performance.
Wade had a great all-around game with 26 points, eight rebounds and six assists in a win against the Dallas Mavericks.
No. 3 Kevin Durant
3 of 5Kevin Durant was Durantula.
The stroke was there for the Oklahoma City Thunder's star player. He finished with 30 points, five rebounds and six assists in a win over the Orlando Magic.
No. 2 Carmelo Anthony
4 of 5Carmelo Anthony is known for scoring in droves and getting his shots where he wants them.
Christmas Day was no different, as 'Melo scorched the Boston Celtics for 37 points. Anthony likely would have broke 40 but sat out most of the third quarter in foul trouble.
No. 1 LeBron James
5 of 5LeBron James was back with a vengeance.
His all around clinic on the Dallas Mavericks was nothing short of spectacular.
James finished the game with 37 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in a thumping of the Mavs.
