The NBA Lockout is in full swing. With the extra time available, many stars are hitting the gym to improve their games.

LeBron James is no stranger to the gym. He is said to be working out at least twice a day during the NBA Lockout.

James is working like a man who knows he has the most to prove in the 2012 season, but he won't get that first ring without some change in his play.

Here are five areas LeBron James needs to improve during the NBA Lockout.

5) Being More Selfish

LeBron James has often been compared to Magic Johnson. These comparisons are the reason he is expected to flirt with a triple-double every night on the court.

James is not Magic Johnson. He should always think to score first. LBJ should look to get others involved but only at a minimum. He's a scorer.

I want to see 30 points every night from James, forget 20 and 7. When LeBron exploded on the offensive end during this year's playoffs, the Heat were unstoppable.

In the Finals, LeBron was not aggressive, and the rest is history.

4) Pushing the Pace on Offense

Am I the only one annoyed by the way LBJ walks the ball up the court every possession? He seems to leave only 10 seconds on the shot clock by the time a play starts.

The Heat have to push the pace at all times to be successful. We are all quite tired of that darn pick and roll.

3) Movement off the Ball

Dwyane Wade was great off the ball as this past season progressed. LeBron James was still as stagnant as ever.

Wade is capable of getting James the ball in his sweet spots, but LBJ has to move more. We know hero ball doesn't win titles, so LeBron should keep all options open on offense.

2) Free Throws

Does the Miami Heat team practice free throws at all? LeBron and Wade are absolutely atrocious at the charity stripe.

In this year's Finals, the Mavericks went to the line to sink attempt after attempt. The Heat, on the other hand, continued to clank every free shot they received.

LBJ needs to shoot at least 80 percent from the line this year.

1) Low Post Play

This is the only area I'm optimistic about James improving. LBJ has been working with Hakeem Olajuwon this offseason to improve his post play.

Judging from Kobe Bryant's experience with Olajuwon, "The Dream" should add an array of moves to LeBron's arsenal.

If James does indeed develop a post game, he might just average that 30 points per game the Heat will need.
