Oklahoma City: Is Westbrook Stealing Durant's Thunder?
These NBA playoffs have been full of surprises: Dallas sweeping the Lakers, the Spurs going out in the first round etc.
However, for the Oklahoma City Thunder, an unpleasant surprise came about: Russell Westbrook trying to steal Kevin Durant's thunder.
As we have seen throughout their amazing run, Westbrook has tried to take control of the series and since Durant is a humble guy who won't just demand the ball, this sudden Westbrook ball-hogging will continue.

Tatum Questionable for Game 7

KD Burner Saga Was 'Distraction'
Now, you may think that Westbrook doing this wins games. However, it doesn't.
In wins, Westbrook has had a high field goal percentage and hasn't taken all the shots. For example, in Game 2 in the series against Dallas, Westbrook shot 7-15 and had 18 points right around where he should be.
A prime example of him shooting way too much in a loss, however, is in Game 3 of the same series where he shot 8-20.
Even though Westbrook has had games where he hogged the ball, he did have some that were perfect examples of how he should play. Game 7 of the Memphis series is where Durant and Westbrook worked together perfectly—the one-two tandem that fans wanted them to become.
Westbrook had a triple-double and was feeding it to Durant who finished with 39 points on 13-25 shooting, leading them to the Western Conference finals.
Game 7 is a prime example of how the Thunder should operate: Durant with a high scoring game and a dominant, triple-double performance for Westbrook, who gets the entire team involved.
As long as they do this, and maximize Durant's touches, they will be successful for the rest of the playoffs and perhaps win this new franchise an NBA title.
