The Los Angeles Lakers have officially won the 2010 NBA Championship.

This caps off another excellent season for the Lakers and now the championship is even sweeter because they beat out their arch-rival Boston Celtics for the title.

There is much question surrounding whether Lakers' head coach, Phil Jackson, will return next season to attempt a second three-peat in this decade. Jackson said during a trophy presentation interview that he will make that decision by next week.

On actually accomplishing the three-peat, if Los Angeles performs the way they did tonight next season, they will definitely have their work cut out for them.

Despite winning the championship, the Lakers failed to make most of their free throws down the stretch to go along with a disgraceful offensive output from Kobe Bryant who went 6-24 from the field resulting in a 23 point performance. Bryant did better on the defensive end however, as he ripped down 15 rebounds along with one steal.

I am almost 100 percent sure that Los Angeles will work out these kinks during the off-season, so this is not major thing to worry about. But if the Lakers get off to a slow offensive start next season then there is reason to worry.

But all Lakers fans should do right now is rejoice and celebrate as they have finally beaten the dreaded Celtics. It's been a long time coming Laker fans but nonetheless their is a big reason to celebrate tonight.

Congratulations Los Angeles Lakers as you are 2010 NBA Champions.
