DeMarcus Cousins Responds to Hecklers Calling Him 'Fat Boy'

Many athletes will bite their tongues when hecklers shout nonsense their way. Some will dismiss annoying fans with the reasoning that "they paid for the ticket."

DeMarcus Cousins is not one of those people.

During Sunday's game between the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers, two fans who sat courtside at the Staples Center badgered Boogie. They mocked the decorated professional athlete—who posted 26 points and 15 rebounds in a 105-97 victory—for his weight, repeatedly calling him "fat boy."

Desperate for attention, one of them shouted about it with an all-caps tweet:

Before leaving the court, Cousins turned to them and uttered a profane response.

The instigators were clearly begging to be noticed, and they sadly won.
