Carmelo Anthony Gets Consoled by Kid Fan After Game-Winning 3 Attempt Rolls out
Late-game situations have not been kind to the 2016-17 New York Knicks.
The 19-26 Knickerbockers have fallen victim to buzzer-beater after buzzer-beater, but Saturday night against the 14-29 Phoenix Suns, an unfortunate bounce doomed New York.
The Knicks trailed 107-105 following Devin Booker's cold-blooded triple with 31.7 seconds remaining. Derrick Rose and Booker then traded misses, so New York was able to draw up a play with 6.3 seconds remaining.
Carmelo Anthony pulled up against T.J. Warren and launched a three from the right wing. The shot circled the rim before popping out, and the horn sounded.
Melo, clearly devastated, hoisted himself onto the scorer's table as a few fans, including one wearing his autographed jersey, attempted to console him. Head coach Jeff Hornacek put an arm around Anthony, too.
Poor guy.
