James Passes Wilkins for 12th Place on NBA's All-Time Scoring List

Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James moved past Dominique Wilkins to take sole possession of 12th place on the NBA's all-time scoring list during Thursday's 107-87 win over the Brooklyn Nets, per NBA on Twitter.

The 31-year-old superstar entered Thursday with 26,665 points in his career, needing just four more to pass Wilkins (26,668), who primarily played for the Atlanta Hawks during his 15 seasons in the NBA.

James reached the milestone with 3:52 remaining in the first quarter when he converted an easy layup off an assist from Cavaliers guard Matthew Dellavedova.

James ultimately led the Cavs to an easy victory, recording game-high marks for points (24) and assists (11) along with four rebounds, two steals, a block and six turnovers.

Although six turnovers may seem like a lot, he more than made up for it with an efficient shooting night, making eight of his 11 field-goal attempts and eight of his 10 free throws.

James won't have to wait long to move higher on the all-time scoring list, as he now trails 11th-place Oscar Robertson (26,710) by only 21 points.

Assuming he isn't rested in preparation for the playoffs, James will have a good chance to surpass Robertson during Friday's road game against the Hawks.
