Cousins Puts Up 2nd 25-10-5-5 Stat Line of 2015-16 Season

Bleacher Report MilestonesJan 29, 2016

Sacramento Kings center DeMarcus Cousins had 26 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and five blocks in Thursday's 114-105 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, thus joining Chicago Bulls center Pau Gasol as the only players to put up 25-plus points, double-digit rebounds, five or more assists and five or more blocks in a single game this season, per ESPN Stats & Info.

Gasol's big outing actually came in a quadruple-overtime loss to the Detroit Pistons back on Dec. 18, with the Spanish big man logging a season-high 48 minutes in the contest.

Cousins didn't need any overtime periods for his own 25-10-5-5 performance, but he did hit the 40-minute mark for the fifth time this season.

Even with the Kings now in the midst of a three-game losing streak, the 25-year-old Cousins is still playing the best basketball of his career, averaging 32.6 points, 12.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.2 blocks over 36.9 minutes per game in January.

Earlier this week, he set his career-high mark for points in back-to-back games, first putting up 48 in Saturday's win over the Indiana Pacers, then topping that with 56 in Monday's loss to the Charlotte Hornets.

It may not ultimately be enough for the Kings to earn the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference, but Cousins has comfortably solidified his reputation as one of the top centers and stat producers in the league.
