That's just a double whammy.
The team recently announced that Griffin is expected to miss four to six weeks with a broken right hand after throwing a punch in Toronto last week. The high-flying Clipper also owned up to the incident with a statement on Twitter.
For those who were wondering if this hand injury would affect Griffin's 2K rating, Ronnie 2K hit Twitter with this tweet:
Latest #NBA2K16 Roster Update includes Blake Griffin going from 97 to 77 rating in Hands— Ronnie 2K 2K16 (@Ronnie2K) January 28, 2016
Although we initially believed that Ronnie was just joking, he was actually serious:
It's not a joke. His rating went down 20. https://t.co/R3KMI2X3ld— Ronnie 2K 2K16 (@Ronnie2K) January 29, 2016
Having some fun, he provided "Blake's reaction" to the news:
It was bad enough that Griffin's punch cost him time on the court. Now, it has even affected the virtual version of himself. Just a tough injury.
Note: The original version of the article was written under the impression that the drop in rating was a joke.
