La La Anthony Wants Kristaps Porzingis to Come to the Anthony House for Dinner

Dan CarsonDec 3, 2015

Though technically perishing Sunday in a horrible, Dwight Howard-related alley-oop incident, Kristaps Porzingis is alive and well, and he's expected to make it to the Anthony house for dinner sometime soon.

This comes from Carmelo's wife, La La Anthony, who's taken a shine to the 20-year-old Latvian center since the start of the NBA season.

La La told a TMZ cameraman this week that Porzingis now has a standing dinner invitation at her house.

"Has Porzingis come over to dinner yet?" asked the cameraman, who would soon use the word "Lativian" without irony.

"Not yet," La La said. "But I'm going to invite him over soon. I think he's earned his way to a spot at our dinner table."

"Has Melo learned any Lativian?" the cameraman asked. "Or whatever the language is."

"I think he picked up a few," La La answered.

This is all part of La La's growing fondness for Porzingis. Per the Wall Street Journal's Chris Herring, she'd really like to find out who makes his suits.

And what suits they are.

At this rate, the 2016 Anthony-Porzingis Thanksgiving dinner will become the finest holiday tradition in basketball.

All of "Lativia" will celebrate their native son's first encounter with stuffing, as Lativians are a proud and joyous people who sound like they live in a prescription drug commercial.

Dan is on Twitter. Ask your doctor if Lativia is right for you.
