Warriors Fan Hits 3-Pointer During TO Break, Gives Lakers the Throat Slash
If you missed the Golden State Warriors' steamrolling of the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday night, you've come to the right place.
I say this because I can't think of a quicker way to recap the Warriors' throttling of the Lakers and making NBA history than showing you some random dude from the crowd shooting better than Kobe Bryant and then stunting on a confused and unprepared Los Angeles team.
Because that happened. And it was ridiculous.
The hirsute man in question was "Adam from Alameda." Adam was plucked from the audience during a timeout and tasked with shooting a series of shots to win fans at Oracle Arena a free haircut.
If he hit all three of his shots in 45 seconds? Free clips for everyone!
And, fittingly enough, this came to pass. Adam went 3-of-7 and everyone won that fresh fade. He then celebrated his victory by turning to Lakers players shuffling back onto the floor and giving them the throat slash:
That's a confident move. It's also one that will get you a hefty fine in the NFL, where air knives have been banned as a security threat.
And that's basically how the night went.
Golden State took up Adam's torch and went on to bury the Lakers, pulling ahead by as many as 41 points over the course of a 111-77 win.
I'm not saying the throat slash was foreshadowing, but it did end up happening. And I hope Adam enjoys his haircut, which will presumably include a straight razor shave in order to bring the irony full circle.
Dan is on Twitter. He doesn't get straight-razor shaves, primarily because of this gesture. And because he has the airy facial hair of an 11-year-old.
