Stephen Curry Fan with Inoperable Brain Tumor Meets His Hero

Kyle NewportSep 26, 2015

As 10-year-old Taliq Davis continues his battle with cancer, Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is doing everything he can to show his support for the youngster.

Back in July, Curry gave Davis a Twitter shoutout on his birthday:

That was just a sign of things to come.

Davis' wish was to meet Curry and shoot some hoops with the Golden State superstar. Of course, Curry made it happen.

Curry hooked up his fan with some Warriors swag. As if getting the gear from the 2014-15 NBA MVP himself wasn't cool enough, Davis also got some of it autographed.

Davis, then nine years old, was diagnosed with diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma (DIPG) back in February, according to Brandon Marshall of KWTX. DIPGs, per ChildrensHospital.org, are aggressive tumors in the brain stem that affect the body's vital functions.

According to Jose Fajardo of the Bay Area News Group, Davis has undergone four surgeries.
