Dwyane Wade Predicted NBA Superstardom with HS Yearbook Quote
So…uh…Dwyane Wade might be a warlock, guys. Or at least some kind of hardwood Miss Cleo.
The Miami Heat's three-time Larry O'Brien hoister posted a picture to Instagram Friday showing a page from his old high school yearbook.
Slipped in among quotes from such Harold L. Richards High legends as Matt "You Ain't as Fresh as I Am" Bramlett and noted hooligan Brian Moore is Wade, who at the age of 18 answered the prompt, "Where do you see yourself in 20 years?" with an eerily prescient forecast.

"I see myself retiring from the NBA to spend time with my wife and kids," Wade wrote. "Also retirining [sic] as one of the greatest to play the game."
Welp, fast-forward 15 years later, and you'll see Wade's right on schedule.
He has three NBA titles, a Finals MVP award and the honor of being the Heat's all-time leading scorer. He's legitimately in the conversation of all-time greats at the shooting guard position. He also has a wife and kids.
And a banana boat. Never forget the banana boat.
But alas, even Wade's obviously budding superstardom couldn't save him from the Harold L. Richards yearbook staff misspelling "Dwyane."
"#myschoolstillgotmynamewrongafter4years," Wade wrote in his caption.
Sorry, Dwyane. Even after 12 years in the league, we're all still goofing that one up.
Dan is on Twitter. He can't tell you how many times he's muttered the phrase "Dwuh-YANE" while writing about this man.
