Shaquille O'Neal Will Play a Trap Set as 'DJ Diesel' at TomorrowWorld Music Fest

Dan CarsonJul 17, 2015

Shaquille O'Neal was pleased to announce via Twitter on Thursday that he'll be performing a set at the TomorrowWorld music festival in September.

O'Neal revealed he'll be playing a trap set as "DJ Diesel," which isn't as good as "DJ Shaqtus," but we'll accept it in this case.

This is the point where we'd typically have some fun guessing which "Build Me Up Buttercup (Ibiza TRAP House Remix)" track the big man will spin during his set, but as Rolling Stone's James Montgomery noted, O'Neal is already previewing his stuff.

The Inside the NBA analyst uploaded a "taste" of his TomorrowWorld mix to SoundCloud on Thursday. O'Neal starts things off with a monologue from the 1979 gang movie The Warriors before dropping the hammer with Waka Flocka Flame's "Hard in Da Paint."

Warning: NSFW language.

O'Neal's set actually sounds decent, particularly for a former basketball player whose greatest musical coup to date was telling Kobe Bryant to sample the bounty of his butt.

It's almost a shame most festivalgoers will only be able to see this when Shaq takes the stage.

It's not TomorrowWorld if someone's face isn't melting.
