Parker Active vs. Lakers

Head coach Gregg Popovich told reporters Parker will play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday, per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News.
Parker Unable to Shake Injury Bug This Season
Parker is getting into the twilight of his NBA career and dealt with multiple ailments during the 2014-15 season and postseason. A nagging hamstring injury was most to blame for his missing 14 regular-season games.
In the Spurs' playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers, Parker was dealing with thigh and ankle issues prior to Game 2 and experienced tightness in his right Achilles, forcing him to leave that contest.
This is Parker's 15th NBA season, so there's reason to believe that the mileage is starting to catch up to the 33-year-old veteran. He's already had a minor hip ailment during the 2015-16 campaign that's kept him out of action.
While Parker isn't the player he once was, his return provides the soaring Spurs with another veteran presence.
