Larry Bird Pokes Fun at Dominique Wilkins' Defense as Hawks Unveil Statue

When fans think of Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins, they don't think about his defense. They think about him as a strong offensive player and a prolific dunker.

That's precisely how Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird views Wilkins. 

As the Hawks unveiled a statue in Wilkins' honor, Bird, via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore, poked some fun at the Hall of Famer's defense:

Bird is right. The statue certainly isn't of Wilkins playing defense.
