What NBA Rosters Would Look Like If They Played Where They Grew Up

Kyle NewportJul 14, 2014

LeBron James going back home to play basketball in Ohio was a move that most people could respect. That decision led some of us to wonder what every team would look like if its lineup was made up entirely of local players.

Luckily, Elite Daily put together rosters that shows what each team would look like if players stayed in their hometowns. Almost every team was able to field a full squad. However, the San Antonio, Colorado and Utah areas didn't have enough players to create a full starting lineup.

These teams weren't necessarily made up of players from the state, but the players did have to be relatively close to the team's city.

When looking at the rosters, it's easy to see which states produce the most talent. There are some stacked rosters, but there are also some teams that would consistently be near the bottom of the standings.

Check out some of the most intriguing lineups:

Brooklyn Nets

Charlotte Hornets

Chicago Bulls

Cleveland Cavaliers

Golden State Warriors

Los Angeles Clippers

Los Angeles Lakers

Washington Wizards

It's not clear how they decided how players from the Los Angeles area played for either the Lakers or the Clippers.

As good as some of the rosters would be if players played in their home state, other teams wouldn't stand much of a chance.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Phoenix Suns

Which team would be the best if every lineup was made up of "hometown" players?
