LeBron James' Mother Gloria Reportedly Dating Miami-Based Rapper
If you were curious as to the state of Gloria James' dating life, today is your lucky day.
The Internet is slowly deteriorating into a virtual office corner where we all gossip about the latest scuttlebutt surrounding the love life of LeBron James' mom. Larry Brown Sports and a number of other outlets are reporting 31-year-old rapper Da Real Lambo is dating the 44-year-old James.
For photographic evidence, we head on over to Lambo's Instagram account, which houses a healthy amount of posts with the woman he affectionately refers to as "wifey" and one wherein he wears some Miami Heat championship bling.
Here's one taken this month with the caption, "#concert #flo#WithWifey."
Here he is sporting a ring that would make any Heat fan jealous.
As Deadspin notes, Mr. Lambo was in St. Tropez with the rest of the James clan.
Miami, you now have a new Big Three.
Complex reports one of the images has a caption that reads, "#I Neva had a role model until I met @kingjames @Thanks Big Homie@Life is about being positive."
Of course, Twitter had some thoughts on the budding romance.
If your name is Da Real Lambo and you don't own a Lambo, you gotta stop trying to hit on my mom— 3030 (@jose3030) September 3, 2013
i get the feeling a lot of you are reevaluating your stepdaddies in the wake of this lambo thing. your stepdaddy named lambo?— Bomani Jones (@bomani_jones) September 3, 2013
LeBron James' mother is dating a rapper named "Da Real Lambo". The NBA is the greatest http://t.co/8SvTMi18vo— Marcel Mutoni (@marcel_mutoni) September 2, 2013
Larry Brown Sports credits Baller Alert for doing the requisite cyber sleuthing to bring this relationship to light. However, from the looks of Lambo's feed, it's not exactly like he or Gloria James were trying to keep their romance a secret.
This has no bearing on James as a player and means nothing when it comes to the Miami Heat and their offseason plans, nor their success in the future. All of the hype centers on the fact that the mother of the best player in the NBA is dating a rapper who is just three years older than her son.
It's a story that seems to be handcrafted for Internet denizens who love nothing more than to rubberneck peculiar hookups and celebrity news.
Go on with your bad self, Ms. James.
