Scottie Pippen Reportedly Arrested for Knocking Out Another Man
UPDATE: Monday, June 24, 5:45 p.m. ET
The Chicago Tribune reports Pippen will not face any criminal charges after meeting with police officials earlier Monday to answer questions about the alleged altercation at Malibu's Nobu restaurant.
Los Angeles County sheriff's office spokesman, Steve Whitmore, offered the following: "He came in to be interviewed, he's been cooperative...Mr. Pippen will not be arrested, there's more here than meets the eye."
Per witness accounts, a fight began near the valet station outside the restaurant, but there were no other details on what started the fight.
UPDATE: Monday, June 24, at 4:20 p.m. ET
Pippen has been arrested.
According to a TMZ report, Pippen may have seriously injured the man in the reported altercation and is now being charged with felony assault:
Law enforcement sources tell us, Pippen turned himself in to authorities in Malibu moments ago...
...Pippen allegedly brutalized an autograph seeker outside Nobu restaurant Sunday night. The man was knocked out after Pippen allegedly punched him in the face and kicked him repeatedly.
There is still no mention as to the impetus behind the scary ordeal, only that the man suffered "broken teeth and a swollen mouth," as well as head and back injuries.

TMZ reports a one-round clash between Pippen and an unnamed man ended with a knockout victory for the star who played 17 seasons in the NBA.
Here's what we know ... 47-year-old Pippen was outside Nobu in the 'Bu when he got into a fight with another guy.
Not clear at this point what started the altercation—but we know it ended with the other guy getting so injured he was taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
Sadly, the report is thin on the one thing we crave at the moment, which is details and images from a celebrity donnybrook that sent one very foolish person to the hospital.
Now, TMZ does come in with some vital post-fight statistics: Pippen stands 6'8" and weighs over 200 pounds.
With that, I can safely say I would let Pippen get away with a great deal before I let our differences escalate to a physical altercation. Not that we have any clue as to what would start such a fight, or who instigated the clash.
The only thing we do know is Pippen bounced shortly after the fight, presumably dabbing the slightest drops of perspiration away from his temple. The report states the police were called to the location, but the six-time NBA champ was long gone.
The last we heard from Pippen, he was causing a small stir in NBA circles when he proclaimed he would take LeBron James over Michael Jordan.
Of course, we found out that basketball bombshell from Alonzo Mourning, who was talking to fans at a Microsoft store opening in Miami.
So what we have here is a former NBA star who is dropping bystanders as well as controversial basketball opinions behind a veil of mystery.
It's a minor miracle in this age of ubiquitous Smartphones that we are relying heavily on hearsay for a public altercation involving a former NBA star.
While we await further details on the alleged brawl, but we have more than enough information to steer clear of Pippen for the time being, because it sounds like the guy is pretty grumpy at the moment.
