The first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs continued to kick off in glorious fashion, as the Milwaukee Bucks (38-44) traveled to the AmericanAirlines Arena to square off against the Miami Heat (66-16).
While the Heat are the heavy favorites coming into this series—the No. 1 overall seed in the conference against the Bucks’ No. 8 seed—Miami knows that the team cannot take its opponents lightly.
Every franchise in the NBA is aiming for the Heat, and it will take maximum effort each game this postseason for Miami to repeat as NBA champions.
Milwaukee may have backed into the eighth spot in the playoffs, but with elite players like Brandon Jennings, Monta Ellis and J.J. Redick in the lineup, the Bucks have the talent to get hot from behind the three-point line and give the Heat a serious challenge.
As talented as Milwaukee is, though, they can only win if Miami doesn’t give maximum effort.
With bona fide stars like Dwyane Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh—as well as a bench featuring Ray Allen, Shane Battier and Chris Andersen—there is no question that the Heat are the deepest and most talented team in the East.
There are many intriguing storylines entering this matchup, and with the hype around Miami, there is no doubt that NBA fans across the world will be focused on this matchup.
