Miami Heat Video: Watch LeBron James and Co.'s Version of the Harlem Shake

The Miami Heat staked their claim as the NBA's best team last season by hoisting the Larry O'Brien Trophy, and now it seems like they've set their sights on coming up with the most creative "Harlem Shake" dance video.

Reigning NBA MVP LeBron James took to Twitter on Thursday to introduce the video—and throw another tongue-in-cheek jab at Dwyane Wade's "W.O.W" nickname in the process:

The Harlem Shake is a dance routine that has taken the nation by storm, likely to the dismay of Gangam Style guy. Though the dance itself originated back in the 1980s, it recently came back into the national lexicon due to a song by Baauer.

"Harlem Shake" has sat atop Billboard's "Hot 100" songs for the past two weeks, thanks in large part to the song's viral takeover.

In particular, people just really, really love doing the dance. A quick search on YouTube brings up a drove of people from all walks of life—from an entire newsroom to the University of Georgia's swimming and diving team. 

All that being said, I've yet to see any "Harlem Shake" video as viscerally pleasing as Miami's. To put it another way: If this entire video isn't split into easily accessible GIFs within 24 hours, you have failed, Internet.

From Chris "Birdman" Andersen flapping his wings at the initially innocuous beginning to LeBron intensely strutting his stuff at the front of the camera to the appearance of a very convincing Kanye West costume, this is nearly a minute-long source of intentional and unintentional comedy.

Some will likely use this video and find a way to criticize the Heat doing this in the middle of the regular season. Do yourself a favor and don't. Just sit back, watch and enjoy as Chris "Boombox Guy" Bosh plays us out.
