JaVale McGee has hit his first career three-point shot! Never one to disappoint, he also offered up the best celebration of the year.

You know, if you can figure out what it is he's doing.

Bleacher Report's resident NBA Lead Writer Ethan Sherwood Straus provided insight on the situation. He even disproved the theories that you may have had before watching the video.

Such as McGee hitting a three on the wrong basket.

JaVale just hit a three! And it wasn't a hook shot. Or on the wrong hoop

Connor Nolte, a former basketball player for the Georgia Bulldogs, offered up a Tweet of the Night candidate.

Actually kinda upset that I made 80 threes in my college career and never celebrated one like Javale McGee did tonight: m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=H7TG…

As for what happened tonight on New Year's, the answer is nothing. Nothing quite as important as the fact that McGee hit a three-pointer.

JaVale McGee hit a three, nothing else is important today.

A great moment for a player who is nothing but entertaining. For all of the jokes, we can't help but acknowledge one thing: That dagger helped end the Los Angeles Clippers' 17-game winning streak. Even if it did come with a confusing dance.

Stir it up and eat it. Right, JaVale?
