Lakers' Metta World Peace Delivers Hilariously Awkward Routine at Media Day

Gabe ZaldivarPop Culture Lead WriterNovember 23, 2016

If you ever happen upon Metta World Peace speaking in public, you sit your butt down and shut your mouth. Amazing is about to happen.

Lakers fans will tell you the best postgame interviews are the ones starring basketball comedian, Metta World Peace.

Every moment is a high-wire walk to nowhere, and you are going to enjoy every last second of it.

Thanks to The Basketball Jones for spotting another masterful presser given by the man formerly known as Ron Artest.

It's really hard to pick out a favorite moment. The Lakers forward talks about being truly happy and loving every last bit of life right now.

He speaks on how amazing the bench is going to be with Jordan Hill and some guy named Golock. Hmm, Goudlock...Goudelock? Well, there is another guy on the bench he is impressed with.

He also drops a shoutout for MWP Workout, a website promoting a healthy lifestyle and family togetherness.

If you are wondering how his summer was, it was amazing, and he partied hard in July. BTDubbs, if anyone has video on his July vacation, we would greatly appreciate it.

My favorite part has to be him dubbing the Lakers as the Care Bears, a nickname that has sticking power and will no doubt go with this band of superstars the rest of the season.

At least, that's the hope.
