Rihanna Reportedly Dating New York Knicks' J.R. Smith
Rihanna was seen getting quite comfortable with Knicks guard J.R. Smith. This is what we know which is far less than what we hope is actually going on.
Christmas came early for fans of celebrity hookups that will guarantee a wealth of drama in the coming months. Stay by your computers and smart phones, because if this is true, it's about get really weird up in here.
In Touch Weekly reports R&B star Rihanna was getting awfully flirtatious with J.R. Smith at Veranda nightclub in New York City on May 6th.
Here is what a source told the magazine.
They were very flirty in the club all night and holding hands. She was sitting on his lap and was really into him. He is the team’s most controversial player, so it’s no wonder that Rihanna likes him
Controversial is a good word. It sums things up rather nicely, because there is a myriad of descriptions that one could throw at J.R. Smith.
He is enigmatic, cocky, bizarre and hilarious. Granted, the hilarious part is unintentional. I just love seeing him throw up 13 three-pointers in a row or taking the last shot when you just know he wasn't supposed to.
Smith may not be a marquee name in the NBA, but hot damn I love this guy from an entertainment standpoint. There is never a dull moment when it comes to Smith.
As for relationships, Smith has a way of getting involved in some interesting situations. In March, he was reprimanded by the NBA to the tune of $25,000 for tweeting out a woman's, um, inappropriate pictures.
Black Sports Online reported on the fiasco at the time that Smith saw it as simply hilarious.
For Rihanna, this wouldn't be her first foray into the sports world as she once dated Dodgers slugger Matt Kemp.
The diva is oft-opinionated on Twitter and has no qualms with speaking her mind. Smith is an enigmatic athlete that has a knack for getting into trouble.
This is going to be amazing.
