As is the norm in the NBA, trades often take some time to consummate. So many factors go into making an NBA trade successful, most significantly of course, are salaries. As we've seen time and time before, that's not an easy thing to get matched up between two, sometimes three franchises.
With that being said, some big names are on the block now, but if they don't get dealt, they could stay on the trading block for some time.
Here are a group of guys whose name we will be hearing in trade rumors all the way up through this season's trade deadline.
Chris Paul

Paul to the Knicks might not happen anytime soon, but the reality of the situation is that the New Orleans Hornets will eventually wind up dealing the point guard.
You can bet the Knicks and all other interested teams will be in on Paul all the way through the deadline and beyond.
Dwight Howard
Howard is another guy that will more than likely be dealt, but the situations involving he and Paul may both drag out for a long period of time.
There won't be a day that goes by until the deadline that we won't hear some sort of trade rumor involving Howard.
Monta Ellis

If the Warriors fail to land a quality big man on the free agent market, they could look to acquire one through a deal.
The talented Ellis was on the block prior to the lockout and could be the Warriors best trade chip.
Andre Iguodala

Iguodala is very talented, but because of his contract, he's been the subject of trade rumors the past few seasons.
There is another year off that deal, so it could be do-able for certain teams.
You hear his name in rumored deals every year up until the deadline. Why should this year be any different?
Josh Smith

Smith is another guy that was tied to rumors before the lockout even started, and if the Hawks don't come out of the gates well to begin the season, he could certainly be tied to them again.
Smith is a talent on both ends of the floor that would be coveted by almost any team.
Michael Beasley

The Wolves drafting of Derrick Williams could make Beasley expendable. They also have to attempt to sign Kevin Love to a contract extension, so Beasley could ultimately be the odd man out.
Antawn Jamison

Jamison has a contract that comes off the books this year and if the Cavs can compete in the East, he could be a nice trade chip for Cleveland.
O.J Mayo

Memphis had Mayo on the block a year ago and if they can't move him before the season, they will likely try again come this season's deadline.
