The Denver Nuggets are a team rich with basketball history.

Denver's professional basketball history begins in 1967, when the then Rockets took the floor as a member of the American Basketball Association—the upstart league that rivaled the NBA.

Denver would play for nine seasons in the ABA, winning the Western division three times and making it to the ABA Finals in the league's last season of 1975-76.

The Nuggets have a storied NBA history as well, winning their division seven times while making it to the Western Conference Finals three times.

The Nuggets were a solid team to end the 70s, led by the high-flying David Thompson. Alex English was the main man on one of the most exciting NBA teams in the 80s. The Nuggets built a group of young talent before crumbling in the 90s, and were competitive all throughout the early 2000s with Carmelo Anthony.

The team is still looking for it's first NBA Championship, and their first Finals appearance and looking to make more history in the process.
