BOSTON - MAY 06: Rafer Alston #1 of the Orlando Magic and Eddie House #50 of the Boston Celtics exchange words after House scored a three-point shot in the second half of Game Two of the Eastern Conference Semifinals during the 2009 NBA Playoffs at TD Ba

Sometimes a good fight can really make a world of a difference as far as far as blowing off steam.

We all have those stressful days where the only thing that would make us feel better is hitting a punching bag, or more realistically a very punch-friendly pillow.

It’s understandable.

Sometimes fighting can spill into the world of sports, though. Obviously, sports like boxing, MMA and even hockey are very accustomed to fighting, and it is part of the culture.

But, every now and then fighting will erupt into a sport where it is not allowed and definitely not expected.

Fights are awesome, but let’s be honest, some athletes are just not fighters and should really stick to whatever sport they excel at.

I rounded up some of the worst athlete fighters in sports history. Be it a guy way over his head in a brawl, a cheap shot artist, or in a few cases guys starting fights with people they have no business touching.

I even threw in a few one-hit wonders for you to enjoy.

As you go through these, just remember one thing: sometimes it’s better to be a lover, not a fighter.

20. Kevin Garnett Cheap Shot

Anything is possible!

Especially when you hit your opponent in the "stomach area."

19. Danny Ferry

If you look really close, especially in the replay, you will see Ferry literally sucker punch the greatest player ever known to the sport of basketball.

The ol' one-two punch!

18. Charles Barkley

Sir Charles apparently thought throwing the basketball at Shaq's head was a good idea.

Knucklehead.

17. Dennis Rodman

Again, we have somebody trying to go after Shaq...

Watch Pippen and Jordan gang tackle him to keep him from getting his head squashed in.

16. Alex Rodriguez

If you read A-Rod's lips in the beginning, it's quite obvious he is saying nothing but good things about Jason Varitek's mother.

15. Cortland Finnegan

This is what happens when you talk smack to Andre Johnson.

From all accounts, I hear Johnson is quite a pleasant fellow...

14. Kobe Bryant vs. Chris Childs

In my opinion, Kobe is the best player of this generation, so don't get me wrong here.

He may not be the best fighter, though, and he seems to antagonize quite a few guys into wanting to beat him up.

These next two slides are prime examples.

13. Kobe Bryant vs. Reggie Miller

Wait, Reggie Miller has a temper!?

12. Rajon Rondo

This is just kind of sad.

If Artest saw this coming, he would have ended Rondo's career!

Another Celtics cheap shot. Hmmm....

11. Aaron Downey

"One punch and down goes Downey!"

Says it all right there.

10. Charlie Villanueva

This is the most production the Pistons got out of Villanueva all year!

9. Rafer Alston

Did Alston really slap Eddie House?

OH NO HE DIDN'T!

8. "The Poor Catcher"

Jeez, man.

Watch the catcher here and then you'll know why I named this slide what I did.

Sure maybe he shouldn't be considered a bad fighter, but a good fighter would have been aware of the donkey kick.

Haven't you ever seen The Matrix?!

7. Isiah Thomas & Bill Laimbeer

The Detroit Pistons of the late 80's and early 90's were known as the Bad Boys.

But, after watching this clip, I think Will Smith and Martin Lawrence would have fared better in this fight...

6. Nyjer Morgan

Morgan probably thought he had the fight won with that first punch, but then he got decked...

5. Ron Artest, Er I Mean Metta World Peace

By now, you've seen this footage a million times.

Any time you have a professional athlete going all WWE on a fan, I have to consider that weak.

4. Robin Ventura

We can't embed this video, so you are going to have to take it upon yourself to watch Robin Ventura get dragged out to the outfield by a Nolan Ryan headlock.

3. "The Running Pitcher"

This guy definitely didn't sign up for a fight...

Personally, I can't blame him.

2. David Akers

Kicker < Angry Linemen

1. Aaron Downey & Brad Norton

Just wait for it, it gets exciting at the end...

In the meantime enjoy "The Final Countdown" and "Scatman"!
