2011 NBA Finals: Open Letter from Angry Miami Heat Fan After Game 2 Disaster

To the Miami Heat:

Seriously, what the?

Up 15, seven minutes to go, and then this?

Are you serious?

What is your problem?

Do you guys actually care about winning a championship?

Do you guys care about shutting the haters up?

Do you guys care, period?

I'll give credit where credit is due. Dallas hit their shots, they're a great team. They didn't make it to the finals through sheer luck alone.

But you had the chance to put it away, yet couldn't.

But honestly, it felt like you didn't want to.

LeBron, seriously, why were you more concerned with putting up stats? It's the finals, the only stat that matters is winning. Yet there you were jacking up shots like there was no tomorrow.

Wade, why defer to your teammate? You played your best game since the Boston series, dominated on both ends and set the tone for the whole game.

Bosh, what's with the butterfingers man?

When the Heat get 14 points from Mike Bibby, another great defensive effort from Joel Anthony, and Chalmers, freaking Mario Chalmers making a key three to tie the game, you should win.

Hell, the Chalmers three shouldn't have happened. It should've never gotten to that point.

So now you let it all slip away, and for what?

Wouldn't you rather go to Dallas up 2-0, or do you enjoy the challenge of being tied 1-1 and having to play three straight there?

How about the fact that all of the momentum is on Dallas' side now?

I've been a Heat fan since I was 6, and I've supported you guys all year even through the down times. Don't let this be one of them.

But if you're going to continue with the crap we saw in the last six minutes, then no, you don't deserve to win the series or the championship. And yes, if Dallas is going to continue to play harder than you, then they deserve to win the championship.

Prior to the game, I thought you guys would take this series in five. But honestly right now, I think Dallas is going to take it in five. Please, win Game 3. Prove that last night was nothing but an aberration and just shut everyone up.

Sadly, I can't even trust you guys to do that right now, not even after all the trust you guys built up from Game 4 against Boston to Game 1 of the Finals.

Haters are more than welcome to say what they want in the comments, however anything derogatory towards me or the city of Miami will be deleted and reported. Say what you want about the team, they deserve it, but keep it basketball related, no racial or homophobic slurs.
