According to Yahoo! Sports, The New York Knicks have just offered Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton,  Eddy Curry and a to-be-acquired first round pick, for Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, and some other players.

From everything I have heard, this sounds like the offer the Nuggets have desired.  If the Nuggets turn this down, I have no idea what it will take to get Carmelo.

You cannot say that the Knicks are overpaying in this deal. Wilson Chandler is gone after this season, and does Eddy Curry even contribute to the team?

Danilo Gallinari and Raymond Felton for Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups is a great deal. The team needs Carmelo in order to get to the next level.

Some people may say why "over-pay" for Carmelo Anthony when Chris Paul or Deron Williams MIGHT come to New York?  The reason is simple: we have seen Wade and James pass on the opportunity to play in New York.  We may see Paul and/or Williams pass as well.

When the opportunity presents itself to acquire a super-star, you must jump on it.  The New York Knicks need another super-star in order to become one of the NBA's elite.

Gallinari will never become Carmelo Anthony. Carmelo is one of the greatest scorers in the league.

This sounds like a fair trade and I hope The Nuggets will accept!
