If Chauncey Billups goes to the Miami Heat, the Heat will not only be a better team, but they will be the favorite to win the NBA Title.

The Heat have just about every piece a team needs to win a championship, however they are missing the key ingredient that puts a team together, which is a solid point guard.

Chauncey Billups would bring just that to the Miami Heat.

Chauncey Can Put Up Points

Unlike most of the point guards on Miami's team, Chauncey can put the ball in the hoop. Billups is averaging 16.5 points per game this season.

Not to mention, Chauncey put up 36-points against the Minnesota Timberwolves this season. Billups can simply score when he wants to and he would be a great contributor to the Heat if Bosh, LeBron or Wade had a poor shooting night.

Clutch

Chauncey is known to be a clutch player. If the Miami Heat needed a clutch three-point shot, Chauncey would be their man.

Billups can take over games if he needs to and he can also get his team into a game with a couple of baskets.

Needless to say, Chauncey Billups can shoot and he is capable of making clutch shots.

He's a Good Point Guard

The main reason the Miami heat would better with Chauncey Billups is that fact that he is a great point guard. Billups has the ability to dribble the ball down the court and set-up plays on offense.

This may sound simple, but this is what point guards do and Billups is good at it.

Billups can make passes to the "Big Three" that Carlos Arroyo can not. Billups can manage the offense for the Heat, with his 5.3 assists per game. Although LeBron James is capable of playing point guard, he is much better when he is passed to, then when he has to make the passes.
