Rumors about where Carmelo may go have been swirling all around.

In newspapers, on the radio, and on TV.

Yet, no one is talking about him going to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Melo to the Clippers may sound very unrealistic or like a terrible idea, but when looking at it objectively, it may be the best choice for him.

In this article, you will read the Top Five reasons why LA would be the best fit for Carmelo Anthony.

No. 5: Carmelo Can Get His $65 Million Dollar Extension

With the new collective bargaining agreement, we have no idea what will change in the NBA next year.

Carmelo can lock in a three-year $65 million dollar extension if he is traded to a team.

If he waits out the year and goes to the Knicks, then he may cost himself a ton of money.

By going to the Clippers he can be in a big market, on a good team, and get the money he wants.

No. 4: Good Fit For The Family

Carmelo is married to Lala Vasquez, who is a reality show star on VH1.

She wants to be in a big market and LA fits.

If carmelo goes to LA, he can be on a great team, and his wife can be happy.

Who doesn't want to live in LA? He could live here and his wife could make a reality show here. This is the life of stardom they want.

3:Carmelo In LA Creates a Fantastic Rivalry

LOS ANGELES, CA - DECEMBER 08: Kobe Bryant #24 of the Los Angeles Lakers battles to control a loose ball against Eric Gordon #10 of the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center on December 8, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. The Lakers won 87-86. NOTE TO

If Carmelo chooses to go to LA, he creates an amazing rivalry.

The Clippers vs Lakers game immediately becomes an ESPN or TNT game.

The rivalry would be fantastic because they would have a chance to play each other in the playoffs every year.

Melo can also have the challenge of trying to turn LA into a Clipper town, something that would really help his legacy.

Plus, who doesnt want to live in LA?

2: Clippers Have The Pieces To Get a Deal Done

NEW ORLEANS - NOVEMBER 09: Al-Farouq Aminu #3 of the Los Angeles Clippers shoots the ball during the game against the New Orleans Hornets at the New Orleans Arena on November 9, 2010 in New Orleans, Louisiana. The Hornets defeated the Clippers 101-82.

The nuggets do not want to deal with the Knicks because they do not have enough trade chips.

This Clipper team does not have any problem with trade chips.

They have a 2012 unprotected first-round pick of the T-Wolves which could be very high, and a pick of their own.

Also, they have Chris Kaman, Al-farouq Aminu, and Eric Bledsoe.

An offer of Al-farouq Aminu, the unprotected first-round pick and Chris Kaman could bring back Carmelo and Al Harrington.

This is a much better deal than what the Knicks could offer.

1: Carmelo Would Make The Clippers Title Contenders For The Next 5 Years

LOS ANGELES, CA - JANUARY 12: Baron Davis #5, Eric Gordon #10 and Blake Griffin #32 of the Los Angeles Clippers react after a foul during the game against the Miami Heat at the Staples Center on January 12, 2011 in Los Angeles, California. NOTE TO USER:

This may sound outrageous, but a core of Carmelo Anthony (20+points a game), Eric Gordon (20+points a game), Blake Griffin (20+points a game), and Baron Davis would consistently be a top 3-4 seed in the West with a chance to win a Championship every year.

This team would have a ton of young, exciting talent along with a fantastic closer. This team already has way more talent than the Nets while having way more to offer then the Knicks. Carmelo could win the title he dreams of with a move to the Clippers.
