Paul Pierce Video: Watch Nate Robinson Faceplant After Pierce Money Shot
This Paul Pierce video is part hilarity, part athleticism.
Last night at Madison Square Garden, the New York Knicks hosted the Boston Celtics in a fantastic game between divisional rivals.
The Knicks led going into the fourth quarter but Boston came back and won thanks to Pierce's jumper with less than a second remaining.
Pierce finished the night with 32 points, 10 rebounds and four assists.
And this assist on a high jump from teammate Nate Robinson. See above.
After nailing the game winner, Robinson tried to leap over Pierce but sorta came up short.
Robinson tweeted about the faceplant after the game:
@paulpierce34 damn near killed me today but we won so Hey #teamCeltics aaaahhhhhhhhh I'm atchu like a sneeze atchu
Robinson had a pretty good night before falling on the ground over his teammate: the reserve point guard scored nine points and hit a clutch three pointer against his old team.
Although they lost and dropped further behind the Celtics in the Atlantic division of the Eastern Conference, several Knicks had big nights.
Raymond Felton and Michelle Trachtenberg's new boyfriend Danilo Gallinari scored 26 and 20 points, respectively.
But it was Amar'e Stoudemire who lit up the Garden: the free agent acquisition scored 39 points, grabbed rebounds and nearly won the game at the end with a three pointer that went in but didn't count because it came just after the buzzer.
"We definitely earned our respect," Stoudemire said. "I guarantee you right now Boston respects us. We're no slouch. We're ready to play every night. Boston knows it."
