The 2008-09 schedule has just been announced and even though it has been swallowed up by all the Brett Favre trade drama, there are still some great games going on this season.

Here are a few of the games that are going to be the most exciting.

Oct. 28: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Portland Trailblazers

LeBron James, the best young player, will take on the Blazers, the best young team in a battle to find out what is better to have on your team.  Youhave two choices.  LeBron James or the combination of Greg Oden, LaMarcuss Aldridge, and Brandon Roy.

Nov. 4: Houston Rockets vs. Boston Celtics

Last year's best trio (Ray Allen, Kevin Garnet, Paul Pierce) will take on the newest trio to rock the NBA (Tracy McGrady, Yao Ming, Ron Artest) to find out which trio is truly the best.

Nov. 18: New Jersey Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers

LeBron James and Jay-Z. I'm giddy already.  We all know that whatever station is going to broadcast this game is going to show tons of graphics and make plenty of remarks about the two being in the same building.

Dec. 25: Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers

The NBA Finals rematch.  Is Kobe going to finally get the best of Pierce?  Is Garnett going to finally be taken over by Gasol?  Can the Lakers avenge their championship loss by taking a single game from the regular season?

Dec. 26: Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls

What?  You are still tired from all the excitement of a Finals rematch?  Well too bad because we have the first encounter of the top two picks in the draft.  Rose vs. Beasley, I just can't wait.

Jan. 7: Utah Jazz vs. New Orleans Hornets

Chris Paul and Deron Williams are teammates for the Olympics, so they are going to know each other's games inside and out, this should be an exciting point guard match up with lots of crazy plays.

Feb. 6: Portland Trailblazers vs. Oklahoma City To Be Determined

No. 1 and No. 2 in the draft go at it for the first time.  Rose and Beasley already played and aren't on these teams you say?  Well this is Greg Oden and Kevin Durant, from the 2007 draft.

Now that you have your calenders marked, we are getting closer to the NBA season.  Just two-and-a-half months to go.  Now you can return to the Brett Favre drama.
