Okay, I will make this short and sweet. If Carmelo Anthony winds up a New Jersey Net, it would be a disaster of enormous proportions for the New York Knicks. The Knicks who have been nothing more then a doormat for the past decade and lost out on the Lebron James sweepstakes must do everything in their power to bring Melo to Madison Square Garden.

Like I have said a million times, the Knicks are so far and away on top of his wish list that no other team is even in the discussion at this point. Let's keep it that way and also be sure that he does not wind up in New Jersey. Undoubtedly, the Nets have more pieces and young talent then the Knicks to make a trade work with Denver. This is why N.Y. must stay aggressive with the pursuit and find a 3rd team to make a deal work. Their standing offer is not good enough, and won't be. They need to stop dreaming and playing games.

Carmelo to the Nets would be much worse then Isiah Thomas taking over the front office again. The cross town little brother would once again emerge as the best show in town. The thought of Melo in a Net uniform just turns my stomach and the same feeling should be felt by Garden brass. They can not allow a top 5 player to wind up playing in Jersey. New York City is desperate for a winning product and acquiring Anthony would make the Knicks relevant again.

I am not sure the Knick fan base can handle and stomach watching the Nets grow into a title contender again before we do. Enough is enough and it's time to reward every Knick fan that has suffered and endured this fiasco for the past decade. The guy is begging to be a New York Knick. It's not rocket science.

Get Carmelo here and where he belongs; on the biggest stage in the world!
