2011 NBA Mock Draft: A Vote for Harrison Barnes at No. 1

For NBA fanatics, it’s never too early to begin speculating about the future of their team's roster. After all, LeBron James' free agency was anticipated for years by fans of the teams that courted him this offseason. The NBA Draft follows in a similar vein, as even though the 2010 draft is still fresh in most fans’ minds, guesses have already emerged about who will go where on draft night next June.

A word of caution to those who value seasoned college veterans as draftees: the biggest prospects for 2011 look to be guys who just graduated from high school in 2010, and could choose to go the route of John Wall, Kevin Durant, and Carmelo Anthony by lasting just a year at their colleges.

Six of the top 10 ranked prospects in this mock draft are incoming college freshmen, and when you add these college neophytes to some intriguing international talents, there appears to be an extremely raw draft class loaded with potential.

Who’s No. 1? What positions are the deepest in the 2011 class? Just how many college freshmen could be taken in Round One? Click through this projection of the first round, from 30 to one, to find out, as well as learn about some of the names that will be floating around the NBA between now and next June.
