July 7th, 2010 has been a come true fairytale day for Heat fans. Dwayne Wade has resigned with the Miami Heat and has brought along with him Chris Bosh. Wade and Bosh announced that they both will play for Miami next year regardless of money wise.
Everyone new Bosh would play with either Wade or LeBron. He chose Flash. LeBron offered him a nice deal but it wasn't good enough for him.
Bosh quoted " Were here to bring winning to Miami and to be championship contenders." Bosh still doesn't have a championship. Rather going to a franchise (Cleveland) who doesn't have ring experience he chose to team up with a superstar who knows what it takes to get a championship.
No one knows LeBron's decision about where he will land until his 1 hour special ends on July 8th. With to of the biggest free agents gone of the market together, it is very tempting to James knowing it will be hard to defeat the dynamic duo.
Over the last few years, the teams who have had won championships have had at least two all stars but also some good help. examples:
2009,2010: Kobe and Gasol with help of Fisher and Bynum.
2008: Boston Big 3 with help of Rondo and Perkins.
2007: Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobli with help of Bowen
2006: Wade and Shaq with help of Alonzo mourning and some experienced veterans
The Heat still need to get the help part because that plays a huge role in winning a championship. Boozer a big talk for the Heat has been recruited by the Bulls so all the chances of getting him are over. The Heat can still get other big players such as Ray Allen, David Lee, Raymond Felton, and could resign Udonis Haslem and Jermaine O'Neal.
So it turns out the Heat aren't championship contenders yet and that Wade was playing the Bulls and Knicks the whole time.
Over the first week of free agency, the Miami Heat are clearly in first place.
