July 8

Various reports say that LeBron James will choose the Miami Heat tonight.

Brendan Haywood will return to the Dallas Mavericks, sources say.

Jermaine O'Neal and the Boston celtics have agreed to a deal, sources say.

July 7

Carlos Boozer has reportedly agreed to a five-year $80 million deal with the Chicago Bulls; he has also tried to reach out to LeBron James to join him.

The Celtics have reportedly agreed to terms with Ray Allen; deal is somewhere around two years and $20 million.

The NBA Salary Cap for next season will be $58 million.

Jermaine O'Neal is leaning towards signing with the Celtics, sources say; however, the Nuggets are among the teams still in the hunt

From what I've heard from my sources, I'm pretty confident that LeBron James will resign with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

A source says that the ESPN one-hour special on LeBron James and where he will sign WILL NOT be in the Cleveland area.

Various sources say that Chris Bosh and Dwayne Wade will both sign with Miami.

Vinny Del Negro has agreed to terms to be the Los Angeles Clippers' new coach.

July 6

LeBron James will make "The Decision" Thursday night on ESPN at 9 EST. Money for advertising and such will towards the Boys and Girls Club, various sources say.

The Detroit Pistons have signed first-round pick Greg Monroe.

The Boston Celtics have expressed interest in Kwame Brown, sources say.

Reports say that as each day goes by, LeBron James leans more and more towards returning to Cleveland; then again, over the last 24 hours, other sources say he is leaning towards the Knicks.

The Knicks have had talks with Carlos Boozer, sources say.

LeBron James creates his highly anticipated Twitter account.

Dwayne Wade postpones a planned meeting with the media.

The Raptors are interested in Travis Outlaw, Linas Kleiza, and Josh Childress at the mid-level exception.

 

There are five teams interested in acquiring David Lee via sign and trade: the Jazz, Raptors, Rockets, Warriors, and Timberwolves.

 

 

LeBron James makes an appearance at his Nike Skills Camp at Akron; he came in with a Yankees hat on.

The Boston Celtics have signed the 60th pick in the 2008 Draft, Semih Erden; he will play in the team's summer league game today at five o'clock.

July 4

The Suns continue to shop Leandro Barbosa; the Raptors and Celtics are both potential suitors.

Joe Johnson has agreed to resign with the Hawks.

The Mavericks have targeted Tyson Chandler and Al Jefferson as potential trade targets.

Stoudemire is also reportedly recruiting Carmelo Anthony and Tony Parker to New York City.

Amare Stoudemire and Mike D'Antoni met this morning and according to sources, "the meeting went very well." Stoudemire and the Knicks are to meet Monday and will try to close on a max deal.

Sources say LeBron James will wait until his 3-day Nike Camp concludes in Akron to announce his decision, which ends Wednesday night.

Reports say that Matt Barnes wants to play for the Lakers. However, Barnes claims he hasn't said anything to where he wants to play.

There is reportdely a 3-way deal brewing and should continue to heat up throughout the week. The centerpieces in the deal would be Al Jefferson going to the Warriors, David Lee to the Timberwolves, and Monta Ellis to the Knicks.

July 3

Reports say that Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks have agreed to a four-year deal that is not worth the max; this now gives the Mavericks room to bring in a hopeful sidekick to Dirk.

LeBron James ends his series of meetings today, ending with the Bulls and the Cavaliers.

The Hornets say they will not trade Chris Paul.

The Bulls have concluded their meeting with LeBron James. It lasted around three hours.

One agent says, "LeBron James will return to Cleveland. Byron Scott will get the best of him."

Von Wafer is looking to make a comeback in the NBA; Cavaliers, Spurs, and Rockets are interested.

The Toronto Raptors are losing interest in a Chris Bosh deal, a source says.

The Trail Blazers have shown interest in Roger Mason.

Reports say that the Nets had the best pitch to LeBron James. Looks like the Russian knows what he's doing at this point.

David Lee is reportedly meeting with the Timberwolves today.

Sources confirm that Dirk Nowitzki has been offered a contract and he could accept today in their second meeting.

Sources say that Dwayne Wade's interest in Chicago is "for real" and, "There's still hope for LeBron."

Many teams are waiting on Joe Johnson and the details of his contract before making offers to restricted free agent Josh Childress.

James' meeting with the Cavs is expected to last only around 30 minutes; they want to keep it short and sweet.

LeBron James is set to meet with Cavs at around 11am EST and Bulls around 2:30pm EST.

July 2

The Bulls and Trail Blazers continue to talk of a deal that would send Luol Deng to Portland and Jerryd Bayless and Joe Przybilla to Chicago. This would clear even more cap space for the Bulls.

Amare Stoudemire will fly to New York City tomorrow with his agent, family, and some friends. Stoudemire will have a physical on both his surgically-repaired knee and eye, and is expected to sign a $95 million deal on Monday.

Dirk Nowitzki has reportedly agreed to the Mavericks' four-year offer; GM Donnie Nelson hopes for him to be a recruiter now.

Bosh met with Bulls tonight at the United Center shortly after a meeting with Wade.

Amare Stoudemire reportedly is set to receive five-year, $100 million contract from the Knicks.

Joe Johnson is going to reconsider options; with the Knicks and Bulls as the favorites

Channing Frye has reportedly agreed to a five-year, $30 million contract with the Phoenix Suns.

The Lakers have offered Mike Miller a preliminary deal. Expect more to come, as Los Angeles is losing Jordan Farmar and they could use another guard.

The Suns are very interested in Hakim Warrick, sources say.

It is reported that wherever they sign, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade will recruit free agent Mike Miller.

The Spurs and Richard Jefferson's agent have discussed a new deal, but nothing has happened yet. Jefferson would love to return to the New York area, but New Jersey is reportedly not interested.

The Boston Celtics have began contract negotiations with Ray Allen.

Heat offer contract proposals to Chris Bosh during meeting, but get no early commitment.

Forward Amir Johnson has agreed to a five-year contract to stay with the Toronto Raptors. Agent Kevin Bradbury says the deal is for $34 million.

Jazz free agent forward Carlos Boozer has had "great meetings" with the Jazz, Miami Heat, and Chicago Bulls, an NBA source tells Yahoo! Sports.

John Salmons and the Bucks are still working out their deal, but nothing has been agreed to yet. Reported deal is somewhere around five years and $39 million.

The Chris Paul trade talks have begun to heat up throughout the day.

It is being reported that the Knicks gave LeBron James two options: One was a five-year max contract worth an estimated $95 million, leaving them with space to offer another max deal to either Joe Johnson, Amare Stoudemire, or Chris Bosh. The other option was to offer James a five-year deal, with a starting base salary of $11.5 million, which would leave room for Johnson and Stoudemire to join James in New York at similar salaries.

The New Jersey Nets reportedly "wowed" LeBron James and associates with their presentation, while the Knicks wasted two and a half hours telling James what he already knew.

Reports say that Phil Jackson will return to the Lakers next season.

The Hawks and Warriors have discussed a trade that would send Marvin Williams to Golden State, according to a source.

Raymond Felton is being sought after mainly by seven teams, including the Heat and Knicks.

Chris Bo sh is reportedly about to meet in Chicago with the Bulls. Via his Twitter , Bosh says this is his first meeting.

The New York Knicks have began their meeting with LeBron James; Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni are reportedly among those present.

New Jersey has concluded their meeting with LeBron James, where owner Mikhail Prokorov, part-owner Jay-Z, and head coach Avery Johnson were present.

Byron Scott tells the AP he has accepted the position as the Cleveland Cavaliers' head coach.

Darko Milicic has reportedly agreed to a four-year deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
