Flashiest Dunks from the Rising Stars Challenge
The NBA's brightest young stars put their sharpshooting and dunk skills on display in the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Friday. Let's recap the top high-impact jams from the competition.
Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell showed his incredible wingspan when he tossed an alley-oop to himself off the backboard and then reached back to finish a one-handed slam in the opening quarter.
As the defense relaxed in the final frame, Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum took a running start, sized up the basket and rocked the rim with a smooth windmill finish.
Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown made a case for next year's Slam Dunk Contest when he gracefully rose up, put the ball between his legs and finished with his left hand. It's more impressive knowing he's a right-handed shooter.
While Mitchell flashed his share of highlights, he also put John Collins in the action package with a no-look overhead pass, and the Atlanta Hawks rookie big shook the basket with a throwdown.
