Stephen Jackson and Charles Oakley Get into Tense Argument During BIG3 Game
The BIG3 offers retired NBA players the opportunity to enjoy basketball again. For Stephen Jackson and Charles Oakley, it's another chance to let competitiveness overcome them.
Jackson barked at Oakley when the Killer 3's coach removed him from Sunday's game for constantly badgering officials. He badgered Oakley instead, telling the former New York Knicks forward to leave him in the game if they want to win.
"I ain't letting nothing go," Jackson said before insisting he would go through Oakley and check himself back into the game.
In an FS1 sideline interview with Michael Rapaport, Jackson called Oakley a "big brother-slash-uncle" and put their heated in-game emotions into perspective:
"He's somebody I respect. When we go back and forth in the game, he's going to get the best out of me. ... He's somebody I love to death, and I got all due respect for him." ย
Jackson led the Killer 3's to a 50-40 victory over the Ball Hogs withย 23 points and nine rebounds. It's not the first time he and Oakley have yelled on the sidelines, and it likely won't be the last. ย
