Giannis Antetokounmpo Moves into 2nd in Bucks History in Triple-Doubles

Bleacher Report MilestonesDec 8, 2016

Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo notched his seventh career triple-double Wednesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, moving into second on the team's all-time list, per Elias Sports Bureau (via ESPN Stats & Info).

Antetokounmpo finished the contest with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists, moving him past Paul Pressey for second. He remains one short of the franchise record, which is held by former Bucks and Los Angeles Lakers great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

It was Giannis' second triple-double of the season, making him just the fourth player to have multiple triple-doubles this season, per ESPN Stats & Info. The only others to do so include Russell Westbrook (11), James Harden (four) and LeBron James (three).

The emerging big man has led the Bucks to five wins in the team's last six games and is pushing his name toward a first All-Star nomination. The Greek Freak has averaged 22.0 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.2 steals per game this season, playing well on both ends of the floor.

Fourteen other teams passed on Giannis in the 2013 NBA draft, but he's arguably turned into the top player from a relatively weak draft class. Anthony Bennett went first overall to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Just 22 years old, Antetokounmpo is still developing and will continue to do so in the Bucks organization. The lengthy forward inked a four-year, $100 million contract extension with Milwaukee that kicks in beginning next season.
