Inside the Return of the Jordan 9 OG 'Space Jam'
The Jordan 9 OG returns soon as Jordan Brand helps sneakerheads celebrate the 20th anniversary of Space Jam.
Hence, Jordan Brand is now calling this epic offering the Jordan 9 OG "Space Jam" officially.
No matter what would-be owners want to call it, the white, red and black colorway used in the historic movie holds up incredibly well these days and looks like a must-cop for any collection.

Anyone even halfway familiar with the movie knows the drill—all-white base, black on the back and swooping around the ankle and the front. A dash of "True Red" on the back, heel and tongue brings it all together.

And the only place on the shoe that's not receiving a critical dose of red?

Really, the inside without red doesn't seem like it is missing anything at all.
Now, if the bottom didn't have red, those who want a delicate balance of colors in their favorite kicks might revolt.
No worries here, though, as Sneaker Bar Detroit provided a look at the bottom:
This is but one of a few efforts by Jordan Brand to honor Space Jam, with upcoming releases of the Air Jordan 31 "Space Jam" and Air Jordan 11 Retro "Space Jam" also on the way.
But as far as noteworthy shoes go, the pair Michael Jordan himself rocked in the movie trumps all else.
And while these kicks might not enable wearers to win one-on-one encounters with aliens, they will instill a huge dose of nostalgia while paying homage to one of the greatest sports movies in history—while rocking a design that continues to act as a trendsetter all these years later.
